Cities

There are lots of places in the world worthy to visit or to live in. There are mass of admirable coasts, fairy valley, breathtaking mountains and so on and so on. But everything I mentioned is made by nature. But there are lots of artificial staff which can delight you. Everybody can see majority of artificial stuff in different cities of the world. They are buildings, palaces, gardens, fountains, towers, works of art and so on.

As for me I have visited enough plaсes and cities, for example I have been in Stockholm, St.Petersburg, Bishkek and much more cities, each of them has its own charm, fascination. I like each. Almost each maybe.

I like European cities such as Stockholm, there are so much appalling architecture, ancient and ultra modern, everybody is civilized and polite.

I like small sea cities such as Eysk, Anapa for atmosphere of holiday and relax.

But I can’t answer to question about my prefer living place. Sure, I’d like to live in San-Chose (it is in selicone valley), but I really don’t sure I will be more happy living there.

Industry best prictices

The last methodology principle we were consider is the using industry best practices.
Understanding and applying best practices can improve the flexibility and extensibility of a software solution.
Design principles are guide line [...] about half software interact and combine to providing flexibility, extensibility and deep coupling across the system.
This principles provide rules from which software pattern arise.
An example is the separation of concern principles. This principle stays that different types of behavior should be separated into different components.
The result of this principle is the coming separation between UI, service and entity components.
This principle also leads that [...] of your controller pattern and DAO pattern.
Software pattern can be defined as "a repeatable solution to the required problem within a context".
Patterns describe expert solutions to everyday problems. Patterns appear in all levels of system development.
Architectural patterns affect hight-level structure of the system and usually support non-functionally requirements.
An example of architectural pattern is load-ballancing. This pattern increase the system [equality??]
and system throughput by adding additional servers to handle [...].
Design patterns affect medium level of structure and usual support functional requirement.
An example of design pattern is a strategy pattern. This pattern allows the runtime selection one variant from a set of possible other variants.
An example of this can be sorting. There are many sorting algorithms such as the bubble sort, merge sort and so on.
Each sorting algorithm has its own kinds. The strategy pattern would propose the user to dynamically select an appropriate sort technique at runtime.

According Martin Fowler refactoring is "the process of changing the software system in such way than it doesn't effort the external behavior of the code, but improve internal structure". Refactoring is done all the time doing software development and especially doing maintenance.
Refactoring is recognized as regiment and significant practice.
Programmer should be [..] to develop [..] refactoring. Find several books in title refactoring providing detail exploration of this topic.

cluster configuration and so on. http://www.sun.com/blueprints

Modeling principles

In the past three slides we talked a lot about the model that created during software development workflows.
Lets step back a minute and ask an important question. Why do we want to create any these models?
If the ultimate goal is to create software, why should I waste time creating models?
..... then he wrote: we build models we can better understand the system we are developing.

Then building a house you could just buy some lumber and start nailing board together and hope that all that walls fit together.
And then you have room ... a kitchen (м.б. украсить или выбрать кухню).
Such [анхак] approach to build a house is unlike little fail.
Instead you hiring an architect and designer [хелс].
The architect create some model of the [хелс] in his head, but he must share his vision with you, the client.
In the construction [крую], it takes order in a house to construction requeres unique view of the architecture.
You, as an owner need to see artistic renderings of the exterior and landscaping,
the builder need to see three-dimensional views of rooms, doors, stairs and so on.
The electrician needs a wiring view, the plummer needs the view of pipes and so on.

Software development also uses models to represent aspects of the system.
All software developers have a mental model of the system they are building.
You can draw your own diagrams to visualize those mentals models. You can also draw a diagram to capture a design of some existing system.

Communication is very important for success of any software project.
Models help communicate the design and decisions being made about the project.
These decisions must be share with stakeholders, so everyone is on the same page about stages and direction of the project.
In large teams each workflow may be performer by different workers. As the project transitions from one workflow to the next,
it is important that workers document and communicate decisions to the next workflow group.
Models help document those decisions.

Specific UML diagrams show different views of these models.
For example you can use a class diagram to show types ant entities of the system.
And you can use the sequence diagrams to show time order flow of messages between objects to accomplish some functional requirements.

The death penalty is never justified

Unfortunately, now offenders still committing lots of crimes, and there are no effective way to turn events around. The fact is majority offenders commit crimes again after years spending in cell: murders butcher people again and again, thief steals money and properties.

In this situation, personally, I am for death penalty. It is obvious to everyone death penalty isn't for manslaughter or violent crime. Then I speak about death penalty I mean heinous crimes such as acts of terrorism, statutory rapes, bloodbath, not as violent as speeding or shoplifting. There are several other conditions to impose the death. First one is existence of irrefutable proofs of guilt. And second – an offender should have right to appeal against the court's sentence.

The main argument against death penalty is it's a God's decision: kill and give a life. It's a bit hypocritical position, 'cause everybody eats meat, and God gave life to the cow. What about vegetarians? Mmm... God gave a life to wheat, why did you kill and eat it?

Trip to Scandinavia

Trip to Scandinavia.

This summer I traveled a lot. I was in St.Peterburg twice, in Moskow several times. I was in Pereslavl, in Kirgizia, Volgograd, and in Scandinavia.
The route was: St.Peterburg – Helsinki – Stokholm by ferry – Kobenhavn by bus and ferry and back.
There was for of us: me, my grlfriend Olya and one more couple: Lena from St.Peterburg and Mike from York.
First we spent about a week in S.P.

So, our trip began with Finland and its capital Helsinki.
It is rather small city, there is no any hightscrabbers, any hight buildings. |
There is no subway, just 4 or 5 stations. Bus the city is rather good, interesting.
People differ from russians. |There are lots of “Vikings” – people with big beards, mustaches, braids.

A ferry. It is a large building on water. There are restorants, shops, disco, cabins. Lots of cars, trucks, buses get into holds. It gives greate impression to everyone.
Our ferry sails thought Baltic sea. It is tremendious, there are plenty of ilands, small and tiny.
It is popular to buy a small iland, construct a house on it and sail on a boat to relax. Like dacha in russia.

Stokholm.
In stokholm very fascinating architecture. It is like in fary tales of Astred Lingred. You see it and you fall to little dream.
Stokholm is build on several ilands, it is said “north Vinice”. There is lots of bridges, quays, city is very green.
Vasa. This is the greate flagship of sixteenth century. It was made and sank down right away. I was impressed by it very much, it is greate.
Astred Lingred.
Subway. The most unusual, most inimitable in its beauty and most empty subway in the world.

Eastern soviet city

There wasn't cells in Soviet times, so in Bishkek my mobile didn't work too :) I think it was a problem with my mobile.

When you are in Bishkek you can know you aren't in Russia by advertisement, it isn't in Russian. But majority of signs are in Russian. Everywhere you can speak in Russian, everybody knows it. Even pedestrians speak Russian, even they are Kirghiz. I was wondered a lot.

Roads are bad, maybe like in Ulyanovsk, there are not lots of cars, so there are not traffic jams. Lots of cars are old European cars: mersedes, audi and other. But new cars doesn't looks chic. Maybe they needs to be cleaned. The town is very green. Rare town in Russia has so much trees.

International airport Manas reminds me Ulyanovsk railway station. It looks so provincial, non-fussy. There are lots of U.S. military transport airplanes.

Living standard is very small. There is no lots of car, there is no other chic stuff. I didn't see provetry too, but residents told me in country there is abject poverty. People live by natural economy, lots of people go work to Russia or Kazakhstan. Some numbers for comparing. Taxy to airport costs 350 som, pizza in cafe about 150 som. The minimal pension is about 400 som.

There is some kind of charm of eastern town. Maybe, it is like Latinos charm. Bishkek gives impression of native town, Russian language is everywhere, resembling regimentals, resembling architecture, ww2 victory's monuments, streets are named in onor of Russian writers... Eastern Soviet town.

Trip. Sergiev Posad

So, last vocation we were in Pereslavl. It was stunning trip, but everything has his own time... you can see pictures her

Our trip began by bus from Ul to Sizran. 'cause of there were some problems with tickets we bought tickets Sizran-Moskow. It was nice part of our trip: we were only two in train's section and I got grate pleasure. Evening we fell asleep in one place :)

Ok, in Moskow we went to Yaroslavskiy railway station and took two tickets to Sergiev Posad. In Posad Igor and Kate met us.
The city is known by its lavra there saint Sergiy Radonejskiy's mortal remains are beried. Lavra is grate, inspiring pacification and filosophical reflections. We went through it for looking it after that we sat to car for going to Pereslavl...

The movie by Alexey German have to be realized this year, I've read some opinions about it. All of them are exalted. They say it is the best work of German and it will be a part of gold collection of our movie theater.
The movie is based on novel of Strugatskie brothers, I like it very much.
Some mounth ago I was impressed a lots by other screen version of Strugatskie's novel - Ugly Swans, So, I am waiting for a movie patiently...

army

http://gzt.ru/incident/2008/05/30/063020.html

last year about 300 military men commited suicides. And half of them was contractors.
It is clear that contract army doesn't resolve any problem, maybe only one, it reduces social tencity. Cause nobody is interested in contractors and those fates.

I think it doen't matter which type of army do we have: contract or conscription. Conscription is not a problem, it is not an evil. It is rather good system for army, lots of counties have such systems.
The problem is that there is no law in our country, law doesn't defend anybody. and if person can't defend himself, there is no chance for him.
It concerns everybody: military men, civilians, contractors...

Theater

Yesterday we were in theater. It was my first visit since university.
I liked it very much, the piece name was "A very simple story", it is modern one, about love, about ethical choice, about parents and kids...

Animal Farm by George Orwell

Rather interesting work, rather easy for understanding. This is allegorical narration about Great October Socialistic Revolution. The story talks about authority, how it conceals his expectancies and become terrible. It talks how it can be easy to cheat a crowd and manage it. I recommend the book for everybody.

In the end of my edition there are some exercises, understanding ones, writening ones. Now I'll make the last writening exercise, the task is to answer following questions.

1. Which characters in the story do you feel most sympathy towards? explain why.

Nobody. After Snowball's proscription it could be Snowball, but at the time of his managing I didn't have any nice feeling to him. There is no real hero in the story, but in comparison with Napoleon everybody is positive hero.

2.Describe the development of Napoleon's character and behaviour as the story progresses. How inevitable do you think it is?

All the time Napoleon was very imperious, dictatorial. But in beginning he couldn't show all his character, it was dangerous for him, residents could stop him, depose him. But with time his power became unlimited and his character was shown in whole. I don't think power deprave people, but power can show real humans character.

3. Do you feel the story is more or less powerful for its use of animals as the main characters? Give reason for you answer.

Yeah, I reckon it is rather powerful. There are different animals and they have different characters, it is very convenient to compare humans characters with animals.

5. "All animals are equals but some animals are more equals than others."
With reference to men and women rather than animals, how true is this of your society or another society than you are familiar with?

This is absolutely truth in our society. There is no low in our country. There is, but not for everybody.

6. Is it possible for a society ever to be completely democratic? Justify your answer with reference to past and present social groups that you are familiar with.

I think it'll be impossible if there is such society, there are such people as we have now. Because people are different, one need power, other need nothing, third can be deceived very easy, fourth will deceive third. People aren't equals in reason of these nature and these characters, nothing and nobody can make people equals.
